OUR HISTORY

Tadano started in 1919 when founder Masuo Tadano began a welding business in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. The welding business sowed the seeds for later production of machines for tile manufacturing, vegetable oil presses, and railroad track maintenance in subsequent decades; by 1955, Tadano was focused on hydraulics and cranes. Through internal growth and well-aligned acquisitions, Tadano has grown into Japan’s leading crane manufacturer and among the top worldwide. This timeline details Tadano’s progress from its inception to today.
