Bietigheim-Bissingen-based crane service provider Wiesbauer ordered two AC 45 City cranes at the Demag Three-Axle Demo Days event last October, and has now followed that up with a Demag® CC 3800-1 lattice boom crawler crane. This was a welcome development for Tadano Sales Manager Michael Zieger, who considers the deal yet another sign of the trust that characterizes the relationship between the service provider and the Demag brand.
The whole Wiesbauer family confirms this impression, which is part of why it originally made sure to get the world’s very first Demag AC 450-7: “We firmly believe that Demag products are absolutely perfect for our needs. They define what is cutting edge in many areas and accordingly are our first choice for a large number of jobs,” General Manager Thomas Wiesbauer explains.
He considers the compact design with a short boom base section and a fully hydraulic main boom to be the most important advantage of the AC 45 City. Moreover, the Flex Base system, which makes it possible to extend the crane’s outriggers to any point within their range, is another important plus factor, as are the large loads that can be telescoped even when the boom is in a horizontal position. “And, you know, I don’t really have to go into much detail to explain why the Demag CC 3800-1 is so great – its lifting capacity of 650 tonnes at a radius of twelve meters, its 144-meter main boom, and the genius Split Tray make it absolutely indispensable for erecting wind turbines, building bridges, and taking care of other large-scale infrastructure projects,” Thomas Wiesbauer says while explaining the purchase decisions.
